Deputy Clerk - Towns of Mapleton, Castle Hill, and Chapman

The Towns are accepting applications for a Deputy Clerk to perform various clerical duties including, but not limited to, assisting the public with motor vehicle registrations, hunting, fishing, and dog licenses, vital records, collection of various tax payments, fees, and will conduct elections and be accountable for most election duties.

The successful candidate must possess great organization and communication skills, excellent customer service, and strong cash handling skills.This person must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Pay range for this position is $18.61 - $25.72, depending upon experience.

Qualifications include a high school graduate proficient in the use of computers, copiers, and other office equipment.Experience with TRIO and Microsoft Office is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

This is a full-time position with office hours 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.Benefits include health insurance, vision, dental, IPP, Maine State Retirement, paid vacation, earned sick time, 13 paid holidays, HRA, and a 457 plan.
