Police Officer F/T (Livermore Falls)

The Town of Livermore Falls Police Department is accepting applications for the immediate opening of a full-time police officer. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and you need to be able to complete the Law Enforcement Pre-Service Training. Preference will be given to Full Time Criminal Justice Academy Graduates, Maine Law Enforcement Pre-Services Graduates, and military experience.

Applicants that have not been certified as full-time law enforcement from a basic police academy must meet age requirements as established by Maine Criminal Justice Academy, and successfully pass a written test, physical agility test (MCJA standards) background investigation, psychological evaluation, polygraph, and medical examinations.

Starting pay is $21.34. Health insurance with eye and dental plan is offered to employee along with MPERS 25yrs 50% no-age retirement. Other benefits include sick time and floating holidays after six months of employment.

The LFPD is made up of six (6) full-time officers and fifteen (15) reserve officers. The tow is located at the northern end of Androscoggin County and borders the Town of Jay/Franklin County. The town shares a consolidated school system with the Town of Livermore and Town of Jay. The Livermore Falls Police Department and Fire Department work closely together with the Town of Jay for mutual aid.
