PRINCIPAL RN – Night & Weekend Supervisor - Full Time (40 hrs.)

The Barron Center, where kindness matters, has an opportunity for an experienced Principal Registered Nurse to join a truly excellent, dedicated professional nursing management team. The Principal RN will be responsible for supervision of resident care and staff performance throughout the facility as the overnight and weekend supervisor. The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine's largest skilled nursing facility. The pay is competitive, the benefits outstanding. Requirements: Graduation from an approved school of nursing, experience in gerontological nursing desired; thorough knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice; experience as charge nurse; ability to effectively plan, assign, evaluate and supervise the work of professional and non-professional staff; State of Maine Professional RN license; current IV experience. Successful candidate will be subject to a pre-employment physical exam. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. 

Pro-Tech Union - Grade 9 - Starting salary range $32.97 to $41.77 per hour, based on relevant years of experience.  Shift differential will be paid at $3.00 during the week and $5.00 on the weekends.  In addition to the standard rate of pay listed, the Barron Center is distributing an additional $5.00 for each hour worked anticipated to last until May 2023 for all employees.  The Barron Center has received CARES ACT funding, through the State of Maine, which is intended to go back into the workforce to help with retaining and recruiting employees.
