Town of Brunswick Maintenance Workers

The Parks & Recreation Department of the Town of Brunswick is seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Worker.  The selected candidate will perform general maintenance in parks, facilities, and buildings operated by the Parks & Recreation Department.  Daily work includes a full range of maintenance at all Town Parks and facilities.  Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, turf maintenance, custodial work, locking of gates, minor equipment maintenance, snow removal/plowing, and landscape work (mowing, weed whacking, etc.).  
 
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; a driving record in good standing and past experience with building and turf/landscape maintenance. This is a Union position of 40 hours per week. The shifts available are as follows: 
 

Sunday - Thursday (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) 

or

Tuesday - Saturday (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) 

 

Candidates should be aware that several annual Department events will necessitate additional night and weekend hours. Additional work hours will be spent on snow removal as weather conditions dictate. 

The pay range is $16.89 to $19.50 per hour depending on experience. The selected candidate for this position will undergo a thorough background check, including references, driver and criminal checks.
