Town of Lisbon Seasonal Park Maintenance

The Town of Lisbon is now hiring a seasonal park laborer positon.This position will be scheduled 40 hours per week from 1 April ~ up to 25 weeks.Participate in a variety of plant maintenance and landscape duties including trimming trees and shrubs, pulling weeds, mowing and edging lawns, weed whacking, spreading loam and mulching gardens, raking recreation areas, watering plants and trees, sweeping, and clearing fallen trees from the public paths and walkways.

Park work duties will include collecting user fees, selling park passes, greeting park patrons and performing general park maintenance.Park maintenance may include, replacing signpost, building maintenance, cleaning bathrooms, painting, and trail work.Pick up litter from grounds and empty trash containers throughout assigned town-owned properties. Operate a variety of tools and equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, trucks, and tractors; perform general maintenance duties including refueling, changing oil, and lubricating parts; make minor adjustments as necessary. Repair various hand tools, shovels, hoes, rakes, loppers, litter sticks, and axes; participate in the sharpening of chain saws and hand tools.

 

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred. Related work experience will be considered.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Possession of a valid Class C Maine driver’s license.
