The Maine Fire Chiefs’ Association would again like to invite you to participate in our annual 2019 Professional Development Conference. Our Conference has a long history of bringing together the region’s fire and rescue personnel, emergency managers, law enforcement officers as well as municipal officials and providing a great venue for learning and the sharing of ideas as well as best practices.
Along with this years’ headline presentation, “The Privilege of Leadership”, we are offering educational programs on the “Implementation of Unmanned Aerial Systems” and “Taking Action Against Cancer in the Fire Service”. Participants will be encouraged to ‘Stop By’ the expanded vendor area to view and discuss with the vendors, new products/services that are available to fire/EMS responders.
Returning to this year’s conference is the Wednesday Night Round Table. Staff from Life Scan Wellness Centers will be on-site to discuss a Wellness Program for fire and police departments which includes comprehensive medical exams, ultrasound imaging, stress tests, laboratory analysis, as well as other items. They have a whole person approach to help keep people healthy and, on the job, and the use of early intervention to find things and get them corrected before they become bigger problems.
Don’t forget to sign up for our signature event, Thursday evening “New England Barbeque,” at North Peak. This along with other networking opportunities makes the MFCA’s Professional Development Conference at Sunday River, the premier Fire/EMS Conference in the region.
We look forward to seeing you at the Conference!
