Who Should Attend:
Any municipal official, manager, department head, or “change agent” who oversees employees or volunteers and wants to be more effective at it. Or anybody who sees themselves as a “change agent” and wants to change, grow and make a difference, this workshop is for you.
This workshop introduces participants to a framework that describes a map of the diversity, equity and inclusion territory. The workshop is experiential with activities and exercises sprinkled throughout. Participants will be invited to actively engage in order to apply the concepts. Participants will learn why and how we develop bias; explore social group identities, the role of power, and the impact of systems, culture, and structure. Participants will practice skills and apply concepts to real and relevant situations.
