The Maine Welfare Directors Association is excited to host its annual 2023 Spring Seminar in person again! This year’s conference will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Bangor, Maine on April 24th & 25th. This is a two-day event that touches on all aspects of General Assistance Administration. The seminar is intended for General Assistance Administrators, Overseers, Town Managers or others responsible for administering General Assistance. On Monday, April 24th, we will begin with Legislative updates and end with a Wellness session presented by Abby DiPasquale with the Maine Municipal Association Health Trust.
The Maine Welfare Directors Executive Board invites you to join them at 5:30 p.m. at Kobe Steakhouse for an offsite dinner and Networking Opportunities (pay on your own.) Please make sure to pre-register for the dinner on the registration form as space is limited. There will be opportunities to win raffle prizes and participate in the 50/50 raffle, which assists in providing scholarships, throughout both days. There will be four scholarships awarded for the Spring Seminar. Please visit www.mainewelfaredirectors.org to download a scholarship application.
The second day of the seminar will kick off with Advanced General Assistance instruction and end with roundtable discussions. There are MTCMA certification credits offered for many sessions; please review the agenda for specific credit details. If you are not yet a member of the association, please visit www.mainewelfaredirectors.org to download a membership application today!
Guests are welcome to join us for breakfast and lunch. Remember to register any guests on the registration form.
We look forward to seeing you at the Seminar!
Sincerely,
