The Town of Paris is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Administrative Assistant at the Police Department.
Job Summary:
The AA will serve as the department’s administrative assistant while being responsible for receiving and documenting walk-in or telephone complaints from community members, the assignment of incidents to patrol officers or to the detective, and will be first point of contact for Department of Health and Human Services related matters, the District Attorney’s Office, and other direct shareholders. The position will be responsible for body camera downloads and video archiving within the department, and assist with invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. In addition to working closely with the Chief of Police, the AA will also work closely with the Lieutenant, Detective and may assist the latter with follow up reports, data entry, and like duties.
Specifications/Qualifications:
*Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
*Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments from general written or oral instructions.
*Prior knowledge of Spillman preferable.
*High school graduate or GED, two (2) years of office experience preferred.
Hours: M-F 8am-4pm
Classification: Hourly/Union
Salary: $23.00 per hour
