Course Information:
This webinar will provide updates related to cannabis regulation and enforcement issues for municipal officials, including:
- Cannabis policy updates related to: L.D. 40; confidentiality of medical cannabis caregiver records; the statutory definition of “caregiver retail store;” specified events permitting; expansion of adult use cannabis delivery; cannabis manufacturing rules; distinctions between local authorization forms and processes for medical and adult-use cannabis; license transfers and mergers
- Tools and procedures available for enforcement, from both the municipal and state perspectives
- Advice on when and how to utilize the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy for compliance
- An opportunity for Q&A with presenters
Participants who complete this training are eligible to receive 2 credits toward Code Enforcement Officer certification through the Maine Office of State Fire Marshal in either the Land Use Planning or Legal Issues categories.
Special notes:
- This session is designed to help local officials with enforcement of state and local adult use and medical cannabis regulations in their communities. It will NOT provide criminal investigatory or arrest advice for police.
- This session is designed to provide general information and policy updates related to cannabis enforcement issues and may not be able to address specific issues related to an individual municipality’s circumstances.

*Registrants will receive their Zoom link to access the webinar and any course materials, no later than 24 hours in advance of the webinar.

Cancellations for MMA Webinars:
Cancellations must be submitted using this Cancellation form to cancel your registration for an event. Cancellations received on/after 12/13/24 will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. Any registrant who does not attend and does not cancel their registration (i.e., no-show) and any cancellation received the day of the event will be charged the full registration fee.
