The Maine Building Officials & Inspectors Association’s Northern Chapter is pleased to present the NFPA/Fire Blocking Training
Course description: This course will discuss Firestopping: The good, the bad, and the ugly. There will be a review of what NFPA 101 2018 says regarding firestopping of penetrations through a rated wall/ceiling assembly. The course will also discuss what correct and effective firestopping means, and how it should and shouldn’t look. There will also be a review of products and agencies that are out there that are related to firestopping.
