Town of Chebeague Island is Hiring a Full Time Public Works Laborer. Expected hours are Monday-Friday 730-330 and as needed for snow events and emergencies.Pay range between $20-25/ hour. Health Insurance, Retirement contribution, holiday, sick and vacation time are all applicable. 

The Full-time Public Works Department Employee is expected to perform whatever duties are necessary to support and provide public services for the Town of Chebeague Island.   Working with other Public Works employees in maintenance and repair activities is a primary responsibility.  Work may include but is not limited to vehicle and equipment maintenance, road maintenance and repair, marine infrastructure maintenance and repair, Transfer Station assistance as needed, and maintenance of town property.  The work may at times involve heavy lifting and physical labor, use of power tools and pneumatic equipment, and operation of heavy trucks and equipment.
