Town Clerk/Registrar of Voters
The Town of Lisbon is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Town Clerk/Registrar of Voters. This full-time position offers a flexible 36-hour workweek, from Monday to Thursday, with a starting salary of $64,667.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and safeguard official Town records.
- Administer the Town Clerk and election budgets.
- Oversee the election process, including supervising up to 40 employees on election days.
- Serve as the communication bridge between citizens, the Town Council, and Town management.
- Ensure transparency by managing public records, guiding citizens through procedures, and administering state and local elections.
- Act as the Town Council Secretary, handling agenda management, public hearings, and notice requirements.
- Supervise one full-time employee and oversee the issuance of business licenses and vital records.
Qualifications:
- Experience in record maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of State Statutes.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are Certified Clerks of Maine (CCM).
