Town of Dixfield - Deputy Treasurer / Water-Sewer Clerk

Training for: Clerk, Finance, Human Resources, Water & Wastewater

The Town of Dixfield, Maine seeks a qualified individual for the full-time position of Deputy Treasurer/Water-Sewer Clerk. This position is responsible for all financial record keeping, preparation of financial reports, annual audits, bank reconciliations, payroll, and other duties that may be assigned. Also responsible for billing and collections for Water/Sewer customers, as well as Deputy Clerk duties as assigned, including providing excellent customer service.

Proficiency in TRIO municipal software is a plus. An Associate’s Degree in accounting is desired, though applicants with a high school diploma or GED, with experience in accounting or bookkeeping will also be considered. Must be able to work well with others.

This is a full-time position offering an excellent benefits package that includes health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and retirement. Starting pay is $20, depending on qualifications.
