Training for: Public Safety - Fire

The Town of Lisbon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Chief or senior officer with 5+ years of experience to lead our Fire Department. This is a unique opportunity to oversee the management and operations of two fire stations, ensuring the safety of our community through effective firefighting, fire prevention, and emergency management activities.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise full-time and volunteer firefighters.
• Administer and oversee the department budget, equipment maintenance, and department policies.
• Respond to and command emergency fire and hazmat situations.
• Lead the town’s fire prevention and community education programs.
• Serve as the Emergency Management Agency Director, Local Health Officer, and Forest Fire Warden.

 Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency medical services, and emergency management.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage personnel and resources in high-stress situations.
• Experience in firefighting with progressive leadership roles. A degree in Fire Science or Fire Administration is preferred.
• Must be a licensed EMT and meet state certifications for firefighter and officer training.

Starting Salary: $86,070.40
