Water System Technician - The Lisbon Water Department - An Equal Opportunity Employer

We are looking for a determined individual with a great personality and a good work ethic to join our operations team. We have a full time hourly position open and are willing to train the right individual. Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with on-call rotation.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a Maine Driver’s license free of violations. Employees are expected to work independently as well as with other operators, the public, contractors, and other municipal organizations in a professional manner.  The job duties vary and are inside and outside in all types of weather. Interested candidates should be within a 30 minute radius and able to work overtime for On-Call Rotation including nights, weekends, holidays and all operation emergencies. This candidate must be licensed or be able to obtain a State of Maine Class II Water Operator Licenses and a Backflow Testing Certification within 3 years of hire.

Computer knowledge is a plus; office software used includes but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Online programs include Google Calendar, Northern Data Systems, and filing websites.

Pay Range:

Competitive pay based upon experience and extraordinary skills that benefit the Dept. Pay: $21.00 - $33.50 per hour

Actual compensation will be dependent upon experience and license/certification levels.
