West Paris - Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator & Laborer

Training for: Public Works

The Town of West Paris is seeking an individual to fill an open Highway Department Truck Driver, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Laborer position.

This job involves the operation of trucks, sanders, plowing Town roads, assisting in maintaining Town roads, operating moderately heavy equipment, and perform related work as required.

 

Highway Department schedule is the following:

April through November: Monday-Thursday 6:30a-4:30p.

November through April: Monday-Friday 6:30a-2:30p 

 

Requirements: Previous experience preferred in plowing and maintaining of Town and State roads, working knowledge of occupational safety, knowledge of operating and maintaining a variety of equipment utilized by the Highway Department employees. You must be able to perform manual labor and work in a small team environment. Applicants must possess a Maine CDL Class B license.
